Coffee hour to happy hour: 3 day-to-night outfits

As a girl who used to work in the financial district I understand the struggles of having two wardrobes: one for going out and one for work. I had days where I’d have plans after work but did not want to wear the same thing out. But I also did not want to bring my entire wardrobe around with me. Changing one item can completely transform a look.

If you love happy hour specials just as much as I do and want to look good while doing so, keep scrolling. Here are three simple ways to take your outfit from office to social.

Outfit 1

Stop traffic with a pair of statement shoes. For this transformation we are switching out flats for a patterned bootie. This outfit is simple, chic and perfect for the office. It pairs well with work appropriate flats and a fun pair of booties. Achieve this look by packing an extra pair of shoes in your purse. The snakeskin booties can elevate any outfit and bonus: they are currently on sale.

Outfit 2

Leather leggings may not be appropriate for the office but they do look great paired with a martini in hand. The only thing needed to take this outfit from office to social is a change of pants—something that can easily fit into any purse. A pair of leather leggings can either break the bank or you can achieve the look for less. This is a classic look and is easy to achieve straight from work.

Outfit 3

Wear a blazer but make it sexy. This last transformation involves taking a classic suit from work appropriate to a night out. It is formal, sophisticated and chic. But what shirt you would wear with it would differ whether you were in the office or out a bar. I recommend pairing a blazer with a lace shirt or a satin one. The mixing of patterns is sure to make a statement.

Make it to both coffee hour and happy hour. With these three outfit options there is no excuse not to make it to both coffee hour and happy hour. Let me know if you try any of these out in the comments below.
